The Lea County Commission for the Arts, located at the Center for the Arts in downtown Hobbs, is a growing, non-profit, member supported, organization that exists to provide you with information about visual, performing, music, and the literary arts in Lea County, New Mexico.
In recognition of the New Mexico Centennial, a Centennial Photography Exhibit features photos of subject matter located in or events that have taken place in Lea, Chaves, and Eddy Counties in Southeastern New Mexico. "Hibiscus" by Ben Hill received the Best of Show Award, "Cowboy's Tool" by Danny Stevens received first place, "Coming Home" by Don Johnson received second place and "Cactus Flower" by Boczena Kaczan received the third place award.

Lea County Commission for the Arts proudly announces it's sponsorship of Hobbs Community Children's Choir, a youth choir for children ages 8-13. Five talented and experienced music instructors are joining together to offer the joy of music to interested students. To find information about the formation of this group, go to
